Los Frailes archipelago is about 30 minutes away by boat from Margarita Island..
Los Frailes is an archipelago that belongs to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and is composed of ten islands, some of which retain the name assigned by the natives of the Caribbean.
The archipelago is uninhabited and is located to the northeast of the Island.
The largest island is Puerto Real, about 2200 meters long.
It is reached by boat from the main beaches of Margarita, especially frpmEl Tirano or Playa El Agua, from where you can see very well the archipelago of Los Frailes.
About 20-30 fishermen daily navigate the waters of the archipelago due to the large number of fish in the area.
The great biodiversity of the area favors the reproduction of many aquatic species and birds, drawing a beautiful landscape rich in natural beauty. A paradise for diving!
Unlike other tours (Cubagua and Coche) where there are spectacular beaches, in Los Frailesthe “fundos” sre the the main attraction.
The phenomenon coastal upwelling (phenomenon of the rise of the deep water to the surface), is what most favors the great biological diversity and the proliferation of native fauna.
In the waters of the archipelago it is also possible to admire a fantastic variety of corals: Diving is an almost obligatory practice.
The variety and abundance of marine life and visibility varying from 6 to 20 meters, depending on the season, will allow you to capture your best moments underwater in fantastic photos.
The plankton carried by the currents will give you the chance to find fish of great size with total security: a unique experience!
